In 1951, Glen and Hazel Sigafoose started cutting balsa wood in the basement of their home in in Montezuma, Iowa for model airplane enthusiasts in the heartland of America. From these humble beginnings has grown one of the most widely respected manufacturers and suppliers of products for the model hobbyist in the world. From our 80,000 square foot facility still located in Montezuma, SIG produces over 2,000 products ranging from injected molded accessories and parts to complete Build It Yourself airplane models, and just about everything in between.
